Since Yoga has found me it transforms my life. In Yoga I find balance, structure, calmness of the mind. There is so much more to discover than the postures (Asana)! Yoga is a lifestyle, not a practice.
I appreciate the clarity & depth that I find in the Yogic system of the Satyananda Tradition. The Bihar School of Yoga in North India is a source of wisdom and inspiration to me. Get a better understanding where I’m coming from as a teacher in my blog. In this podcast episode with Amanda Jane I talk about yoga & trauma, tradition & modern yoga styles, and the new feminine that is needed in this world.
Most of my classes incorporate sacred sound: Mantra on the Harmonium or songs from the heart on the guitar. Other sound elements like the magical handpan form part of some offerings. Sound adds another dimension to our practice and helps to go deeper.
